Advocate • Organizer • Cultural Preservation Leader

Tony Henson serves as President of Save Our Native Souls (SONS), bringing years of national experience in cultural preservation, public education, and Native representation. Of Cherokee descent, Tony is widely recognized for his leadership in developing educational resources, community programs, and public‑facing materials that have shaped national conversations around Native identity.

Before leading SONS, Tony served as the longest‑tenured president of a national Native cultural‑education organization, where he created widely used content including the Partner School program, a popular certification process, the foundational timeline for the Exposing the Scam report, and the organization’s trademarked logo. He also helped organize major cultural events such as the 2017 pow wow demonstration at the University of Illinois and the 2024 Native dance procession in the Chicago Columbus Day Parade.

During the height of the 2020 cultural‑identity debates, Tony led nationwide outreach to Native‑themed schools and athletic programs, contributing to collaborations such as the 2019 Atlanta Braves Native All‑Star Game and the 2023 partnership between the Miami Tribe of Indiana and the Indianapolis Indians. His leadership also supported a federal civil rights filing that later drew attention from the U.S. Department of Justice.

Tony’s work has been featured across major national media outlets, including Fox News, Newsmax, CNN, Sinclair Media, The Washington Post, and The New York Times, and helped grow social‑media engagement to more than 100,000 followers.

Beyond advocacy, Tony founded Illinois Pride USA in 2015 to educate the public about the Confederated Tribes of Illinois and co‑founded Crossroads Church in Bement, which continues to serve the community more than a decade later.

As President of SONS, a 501(c)(4) organization, Tony leads a Native‑driven effort focused on cultural preservation, public awareness, and empowering Native voices to define and defend their own heritage.

Born Bill Murray Turtle in Lawton, Oklahoma, Bill is a proud Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma tribal member, a United States Marine Corps veteran, and a nationally recognized voice in the movement to protect and preserve Native identity. His life reflects the enduring Kiowa warrior tradition — service, sacrifice, and the responsibility to defend what must not be lost.

Military Service

Bill enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving with distinction in:

• Operation Desert Storm

• Operation Restore Hope (Somalia)

His service forged the discipline and leadership that continue to guide his public advocacy.

Advocacy & Public Voice

As a Native Marine and Kiowa man, Bill has become a leading spokesman for the truth that Native imagery, names, and symbols are honors rooted in warrior tradition. He is a prominent voice in the movement to Reclaim the Redskins, challenging the erasure of Native identity from sports and public life.

Bill’s advocacy has been featured across national news outlets and digital platforms, including:

• Newsmax – National Report

• NewsNation – NewsNation Now

• Fox News segments with Lawrence Jones, Jimmy Failla, and Brian Kilmeade

• Two Drunk Dudes in a Gun Room – S2 E18

• Public appearances including an event with Secretary Linda McMahon in Massapequa, NY

Founder of Save Our Native Souls (SONS)

On June 19, 2019, Bill founded SONS — a Nativeled advocacy organization dedicated to preserving Native culture, protecting traditional names and imagery, educating the public, and empowering Native voices. What began as a fight to defend cultural representation has evolved into a broad advocacy platform focused on truth, education, and the right of Native people to define their own heritage.

Bill continues to serve as a powerful advocate for Native sovereignty, cultural preservation, and the voices of Native warriors past and present.

Maurice LaPointe

BOARD MEMBER
SWINOMISH LINEAL DESCENT

Maurice LaPointe.png

I am the great-grandson of Chief Martin Morningcloud Sampson, a revered leader of the Swinomish Tribe. I grew up in a quiet town of 2,500 souls nestled in the shadowed foothills of Mount Rainier.

At fourteen, I defeated papillary thyroid carcinoma, diffuse sclerosing variant—a battle that shaped my early resilience.

I have been married since 2019 and am the proud father of two young sons.

Since 2010, I have worked as a blue-collar mobile tire technician, building my life through honest labor.

I am co-creator of the Patriots Prayer Network, a nationwide fellowship hosting patriotic podcasts that celebrate faith, freedom, and American values. I launched a successful fundraiser to send young Holden Armenta and his father Bubba to the Super Bowl after the boy faced unjust national criticism from Deadspin.

I am a Christian American Supremacist who works diligently to honor both my white and Native ancestors with pride and integrity. In 2023, I joined X to speak boldly against cancel culture and government overreach. My voice quickly resonated, growing my following beyond 225,000.

I have made multiple appearances on NewsMax, Infowars, The Alex Stein Show, Timcast IRL, and many others.

Today, I serve as a board member of Save Our Native Souls (SONS), leading the fight to defend and preserve Native American iconography and representation against cultural erasure.

I look forward to bringing more light to the patriotic side of Native Americans. To me, Native American history is not a footnote—it is American history itself.
